Observation of the day:
If Beckett thought page 105 was steamy, she CLEARLY never read fanfic.
It makes me giggle to no end that the woman simply cannot spit the word “whereabouts” out of her mouth. And I love Nathan’s face in the last one.
I just watched this episode last night. I just die every time this scene comes on because I can’t not think of the bloopers. HYSTERICAL.
I can honestly say I never noticed Nathan’s face before this gif set LOL I was always so focused on Stana’s “WTF is coming out of my mouth and why?” look. But yeah, Nathan’s expression is priceless LOL

A lot of people with hazel eyes will also just say “green” or “brown” (depending on which color is most evident) out of reflex, due to some websites and surveys not having an option for hazel. My mom has hazel eyes, but half the time she’ll say they’re green just because it’s easier.
Besides, what color Stana has identified her eyes as on her website is irrelevant. I’m not talking about Stana, I’m talking about the character. Yes, the eye color is the same. Obviously. But the context is not the same. As a fanfic writer, the main context that you have is the show. And if you watch Castle, and look at Beckett’s close ups, you’ll see that her eye color changes. Sometimes green, sometimes brown, and sometimes a fusion of the two. IMO that’s what should come first when writing. Outside sources, those are just icing on the cake.
Every time a fanfic author describes Kate’s eyes as hazel, I want to kiss them. THANK YOU!
No, her eyes are not green. Yes, they do often appear green, just as they often appear brown. This is because they’re hazel. They vacillate between the two.
So to all you authors who are aware of this fact, and write this fact in to your stories: thank you.
